TECHNICAL SHORT COURSES

SRK offers the following short courses to in-house or site-based mining professionals. These courses can be tailored to specific requirements.

Current courses:
Applied Groundwater Modeling With Visual MODFLOW Flex

SRK is pleased to host Waterloo Hydrogeologic to provide an intensive 3-day on-site training for their premier modeling software, Visual MODFLOW Flex. This course introduces participants to the complete groundwater modeling process and provides a perfect introduction to the Visual MODFLOW Flex interface. Enjoy a mix of lectures and exercises focused on a variety of groundwater modeling concepts including conceptual and numerical model development, contaminant transport modeling, the use of secondary utilities for enhanced modeling results and analysis, parameter estimation and model calibration, and the analysis of model results.

Three-day course |  20-22 August  |  Perth, Australia

Unlocking the value of structural geology in mining, exploration & 3D modelling

In this course you'll develop skills in structural data collection and interpretation through hands-on, practical exercises using drill core samples and structural data from real deposits. You'll learn how to integrate structural geology with 3D geological modelling and gain confidence in effective application of structural geology in greenfields and brownfields exploration and resource estimation.

One-day and two-day course options available:

28-29 November  |  Perth, Australia

2-3 December  |  Kalgoorlie, Australia

3D geological modelling in exploration and mining

In this two-day course you'll gain hands-on experience using the workflows required for creating geological and grade models typically used in exploration and resource assessments. Examples will be taken from different deposits, including narrow vein and stratiform deposits to demonstrate various techniques.

Tailored courses available in-house & on-site

Quality Control: Reducing Risk in Exploration and Mining

This course ties theory to practical application - from conducting timely quality control in the field to interpretation and concise reporting of results. Participants will learn the importance of correct sampling to manage risk, and how to design, implement and interpret quality control programs.

One-day course |  Perth date to be announced soon  |  Tailored in-house couses available
